Grooming skills are related to our look. In engineering life students learn many skills including grooming.meaning of word grooming is huygenic. It's another meaning is to mentor. As a human being and as we belongs to rich culture in the world, our culture tell us about different grooming skills and methods. Grooming contains all activities we done in our daily routine. Bathing, cleaning teeth, regular exercise, cleaning of clothes, cleaning of hairs and nails regularly.Exercise is needed for cleaning internal parts of body. We can do yoga to keep our mind clean. Yoga improves our abilities of body and keep us healthy. As a mechanical engineer, we live in corporate world. During corporate life, the formal dress code should be preferred. Black belt should be preferred. Hairstyles shouldn't be so different. Hair must be small and neatly shuffled. Tattoos, Bali in ear, marks on hand or foot should be avoided. Strong perfumes are avoided. Light perfumes or powder should be preferred to keep clothes in good condition and do not smell bad. As a engineer and as a responsible citizen of India we should follow all these things. How we live in society that shows our interpersonal skills, our choices, our patience and discipline. Our culture is changing very fast. Western culture affected our culture. New fashion in clothing are there. Different brands of clothes, wathes, goggles, shoes, etc. are there. All these things defines us in very short period of time. The another meaning of grooming is to mentor or to train the Student. Our government started skill India concept. Under which ITI, Diploma, Engineering Student are trained. Also different government course are available. CCNA, SAP, C-DAC are some of these courses. Private soft skill training is there in many cities. In training student learn self confidence and aptitude skill. Our country's government started Make in India, Digital India, transforming India, etc. Thus requirements of skilled manpower is increased. In order to provide skilled manpower to our young generation grooming skill is necessary. In professional world the importance of self development and self discipline is important. Grooming tell how professional we are. Especially students from rural area are need to learn grooming skills, because due to rural area they are unaware about professional world. Indian economy is based on agriculture, so we need to train the farmers in skill India program. Farmers should aware about what new technologies are there in farming to improve productivity.
